Here is a project created for Carnegie Mellon University School of Design to portray the "informational structure" of an object. This student chose "Koyaanisqatsi," a film containing no plot, words, or characters. The challenge was how to depict the structure of a film that, at first glance, has very little structure. They created a motion piece focusing on the emotional qualities of the film, portrayed through its stunning images and powerful music.
It may provide a useful way to remember the themes, images and context of the film in a condensed form for the forthcoming mock exam in December.
